nb development was founded in 2002, after it's founder, Nick Brown, had seen a need to have a company name behind his work.
Nick Brown started web development in 1998 after a brief spell of tinkering with HTML in IT classes at High School. Due to this, Nick started developing, the then, Gilwern Net, a little website with information about the little village in Wales. This web site was expanded in 1999 to be a portal site.
In 2000 Gilwern Net was taken down due to slight copyright infringements about information held on the site.
Nick didn't let this get him down although, and he has been developing websites ever since.
Nick moved away from static HTML in 2000 to Classic ASP. This enabled him to start learning how to program dynamic content, and was very enjoyable. This continued until 2004 when Nick moved to Hereford Sixth Form College. This move enabled Nick to expand his knowlegde base about server technology. It was exploring servers that Nick came across the .net framework v1.0. Nick quickly found a soft spot in his heart for this fledgling programming language.
In the late part of 2004, Nick came across, the then, ASP.net Forums version 2.0, and so began the journey of Community Server.
ASP.net forums grew into Community Server Forums 2.x, which soon grew into Community Server 1.0.
Nick stopped Making websites in 2005 due to exam pressures, but kept a strong community pressence on the ASP.net Forums 2.0 and Community Server site.
Now in 2007 nb development, as well as Nick Brown, are the for most developers of rich themes for community server, and Nick hopes, for years to come.
In 2006 Nick Brown, re-opened his closed client list for a few small sites to balance the cost of hosting. In 2007 however, Nick is fully opening the flood gates, allowing anyone who wants his services to acquire them. If you want nb development to customize your site, fill in the Contact nb development form.
Thanks,
Nick Brown
