Athena and CS2008 beta 1

Hi Nick,

thanks for the final version of Athena.  I was wondering if I should give CS2008 a whirl, but part of the decision is if Athena is supported (read works without too many issues) or is known to fail?

It should work as long as some of the dll's from CS2007 are retrained.  Mainly the File Gallery and Photo Gallery dll, as athena uses them to get the lists, and without them it'll break. 

Obviosly Athena won't support Groups or Media Gallery.

They are planned for a point release.  Athena for CS 2008. 

Another thing is that Athena is a complete CS 2007 theme, with all the pages that CS 2007 uses.  CS 2008 has removed some pages and added some new ones, so Athena might cause some issues

Athena is only for CS 2007.1.

Athena Silverlight will be the 2008 version 

Howdy Nick ... I am sure this is a busy time for you right now at Uni, but any idea how far away Athena Silverlight is?

Still happy to pay for it (I donated £50 before) and still loving it.

HI, Athena Silverlight has been dropped, Athena 2008 is the new version.  Screenshots are going to be posted in the next dev log post, due at the end of today along with a Webcast

screenshots look great ... can't wait to update to CS2008 and Athena 2008 :-)
