    Live Search In Aero

    Whereas I like the feature there are times that it makes my community server site hang up a bit while loading each page (because it has to wait to load the search)  Is there any way to disable this feature?  In Aero 2007 and in the previous version of Aero?

    In aero 2007, set your site to use "CS Search", then remove the code from the master page

    I think you can just remove the Live Search code, just the javascript from the page, and it should still work.  In aero 2 there is an option to set the default search engine, I think. If not it's just a case of setting a few display's to none or block;

     Any idea exactly which files? I am experiencing the same slowness on the site, and I am interested to see if disabling this will help relieve that slowness. I don't have any need for the Live Search on my site. Thanks a bunch

    If you are running aero 2007 SP1, then you do not need to do anything, Aero 2007 RTM uses a pop up window for live search now, instead of the inline live search code

    For me, I am not using Aero2007 yet since GoDaddy is not supporting the CS2007 version yet on my account. What files should I access to disable this "loading..." pause in the previous version?

    Open Skin-TitleBar.ascx, and remove the WLSearchBox

    Open Common.css, and remove the #WLSearchBox entry, and modify the CSSearchBox entry to display: block;

    Cool got it to work now. Also found out godaddy offers 2007, so I might be updating to 2007 now. Awesome work here.
