    Re: Aero 2.0 RC2 Feedback

So this doesn't seem to work for me, and neither did the previous release, upon going to edit the config I get a page that's all whack.  There's no background, the left hand menu expands, but clicking any of the subitems doesn't do anything except give a javascript error, in firefox the home, etc buttons are all white with white text, in IE6 the active/hover button at least has a gray background.  I'll see if I can IM you when I get home a little later so I can send you a screenshot or something, I'd like to get this working.

ok, that means that aero is working.  Odd that is isn't fully working.

Make sure you've changed to theme to aero2.  In your Profile

I haven't even gotten that far, e.g. I've not changed the blog, the gallery, or the theme to Aero yet.  Following the directions I went to step 2 to configure (http://site/Themes/Aero2/Aeroscript.aspx), that is what's whack.

You'll need to change your profiles theme to aero2, inorder to get aeroscript working properly

Should note that in the config file shouldn't I

I'm having the weirdest problem. The backgrounds show up under the customize button but they do not change.  The background just stays white.  I previously only had one gallery and gallery group.  Now I have two gallery groups each with a single gallery.  Could this be the problem or could it be a permissions issue?

Can you navigate to http://%site%/Themes/Aero2/AeroScript.aspx?mode=bg&width=640&height=480 and tell me what you get?

    Re: Aero 2.0 RC2 Feedback

Yep it's permissions, you don't have permission to run the httpwebrequest that Aero background image uses, you'll have to set your aero configuration to use color's as the default background, and disable gallery usage

But I had Aero 2.0 RC1 working fine as well as the beta releases.  Why would it all of a sudden happen?

o, ok, that is strange then, I haven't changed anything in the code for the background handler since RC1, how odd

I also removed the photos button from the main navigation.  Could that contribute to it as well?

    Re: Aero 2.0 RC2 Feedback

It shouldn't be causing any problems.  Make sure that your background gallery has permissions so everyone can view
