Athena on NB Development has been updated to Alpha 2.2, which has IE7 support for the current implementation of the athena bar, as well as other Athena related area's.
Athena is still best viewed in Firefox, as is every website, but if your in the dark ages, and still use IE7, then NB Development, and athena, will work for you.
