Inline with everything else I've been doing of late, it's time for another 3.0/2007 release. This time in the form of the CS Listings.
The CS Listings backend code has been totally rewritten, and really AJAX'd. In CS Listings 2.0 it was a iframe trick and stuff in it, but in 3.0, it's totally AJAX'd.
AS you can see from the picture here (click to open), the listings looks more like NB Development, but has one slight difference, it doesn't have a title image, and is configured so that is uses less CPU to scroll.
Aero 2007 did have this at one stage but was removed due to the reduced content size due to the logo image.
I've painstakingly gone through the whole 300 listed sites, and removed about 20, because (a) there not CS, or (b) they don't work. This would cause some problems with the new way the listings keep themselves updated.
Clicking on a listing will fire off a Html Request, which gets the site, it then gets the generator tag. This is the same method used on the new listing function.
The new page that is displayed, has all of the information that is collected on Submission, with the added extra of seeing the site in a iframe. (needs to be an iframe to avoid CSS clashes).
You can click on the site name to launch the site, click back to reload the listings, or view from the iframe.
The New Listing function starts out by asking for a URL of your CS installation.
Once you have entered your URL, and hit next, CS Listings will get the HTML of that URL, and get the generator tag
it will then check to see if this is a Community Server installation, if it's not, it'll tell you it's not. Otherwise, it stores that, and goes and gets the title tag, description, and keywords (tags)

Once it has all of that information, it will display that to you, for confirmation, before adding that to the Listings Blog, yes the CS Listings runs off a Community Server blog.
Searching is slightly better now, although you can't search for specific CS versions yet, you can search by title. And if your me, to find which posts need approving
.
Each search that you do, can be directly linked if you want to, click the search link button to get the permalink to those search results.
RSS is also available on the listings, so you can keep track of what site has been added lately. And soon you'll be able to get RSS for the Searches too, just to keep you informed.
